Double premiere for MD ELEKTRONIK at top event

3rd International Congress "On-board power supplies in the automobile" in Ludwigsburg

This annual event once again attracted a large number of OEM decision-makers and experts in the international automotive industry to Ludwigsburg (Germany) on the 24th and 25th March this year. In comparison with the previous year, the congress organizer, Süddeutscher Verlag, recorded a clear increase in visitors, welcoming more than 320 participants.

For two days, high-profile car manufacturers and system suppliers spoke about current trends and challenges in the industry and exchanged experiences. This year the focus was on the challenges and trends in on-board power supply development with regard to data communication systems, development tools to increase efficiency and progress made in light construction, HV and multiple-voltage on-board power supplies.

MD ELEKTRONIK gladly accepted the invitation to actively participate in shaping this event. In their presentation on the topic of "LVDS via COAX - from system to on-board power supply installation", Gerd Mittermaier (Head of Product Engineering) and Martin Huber (Head of Core Development) ably demonstrated this interface standard at a physical level as an interesting alternative in digital data communication for vehicles.

From the point of view of MD, COAX continues to be a commendable, solid and well-proven option for high and increasing data rates.

Following this presentation, the six-member MD team was able to conduct valuable discussions with existing contacts and potential new customers at the mobile fair stand. The function of "LVDS via COAX" was interactively explained with the aid of a demonstration model with four cameras and in cooperation with Maxim Integrated.

This event was not only characterized by interesting, innovative presentations, but also by an open atmosphere, that invited a direct exchange of information and active networking.

Summary from the MD Team:
As a link between consumer electronics and the automotive industry, MD ELEKTRONIK places great emphasis on a holistic view of the system in order to be a strong partner to its customers in future challenges. Participation in this important industrial event provides MD ELEKTRONIK with an excellent platform to act as a data communication specialist and development partner and to enter into discussions with international OEMs and system suppliers.
